Akeal are a four piece band from Leamington, Gaz (lead vocal/guitar), Chris (lead guitar), Sean (bass) and Matt (dums).
The boys have been together for two years and have played all across the country, spreading Akeal’s indie sound with an alternative twist.
They play music that contains quirky riffs over edgy guitars and rock rhythm sections that have plenty of hooks to get your teeth into. Influences come from acts such as Kings of Leon, Interpol, Radiohead and Elbow.
Expect to hear a diverse set that twists and turns from delicate indie to rock in a matter of seconds."

“The Bellows are a band with a real difference, throwing every instrument including the kitchen sink into their unholy, and rather brilliant mix.
Not only that, they swap them!
First off you have local legend Johnny Nicholds on guitar, vocals, harmonica, banjo and megaphone.
Then there's Leigh Urquhart on lead guitar, vocals, bass, mandolin and percussion. Ryan Every takes up slide guitar, vocals, harmonica and banjo, while Simon Jones tackles bass, vocals, lead guitar and trumpet.
On top of that there's Liz Crowley on clarinet, vocals, alto melodica and guitar and Chris Hartry on drums.
Sounds mad doesn't it? And it is - gloriously so - a Kansas/Coventry cyclone of folk, country and blues.
They describe their sound as "a strange, dark and wondrous mix of eastern European cossack, folk and swamp blues with influences as varied as Tom Waits, Nick Cave, the Gogol Bordellos, Noel Coward, Edgar allan Poe and William Burrows."

Fiori are an up-and-coming Coventry band who have been penning tunes at a fierce pace.
Fiori have a healthy relationship with make-up and an obsession with shoes, but behind the eye-liner and hairspray lurk serious musicians who know its all about the music.
With influences such as Guns N’ Roses, Elvis and The Stooges, Fiori’s aim is to make rock music for people to dance to.

Think surf rock and a frenetic, searing pace, bristling with youthful energy and humour.
Formed in November 2007 from a mutual love of Syd Barrett, guitars and skateboards, The Illchemists are a rag-tag bunch of musical gunslingers, formed from various members of highly regarded Coventry bands like Shakes and Shivers and Momma's in the Kitchen; the guys have known each other, and shared each others' floors and beers for years.
They claim their influences range from Screaming Lord Sutch, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster, The Coral, Dead Kennedys, The Who, The Hives and The Specials.

A firm favourite on the Coventry music scene, Men in Caves have been generating widespread interest and acclaim. With influences embracing a spectrum of genres the band perform catchy singalongs with a dirty edge. Comprised of Tom Brindle, Ross More and Pete Canning, the trio’s live show is full of style, energy, passion and most importantly – great songs.
Highlighting some of their favourite times together the band cite a tour of the Isle of Man, last years Godiva Festival, and that time that Ross got locked in the back of some van outside the Raggy

Since forming in 2006, Shadowplay have quickly become one of the most exciting bands in the city, regardless of the fact that all three members are under 18.
Citing their influences as Radiohead, The Cooper Temple Clause and Bloc Party, the three-piece make one hell of a noise, sounding like it's teetering on the brink of gloriously losing control while always maintaining a structure and maturity belying their years.
Live, Shadowplay are an altogether more visceral experience - frantic and captivating.
Expect high-energy and theatrics from their two sets at this years Godiva Festival”
Shackletons “Led by Reid Zappa on vocals, with Sam and Ryan on guitars, Dewey on bass and Ben on drums, Shackletons provide a raw, heady cocktail of indie, country and rockabilly. And it grooves like a riff-laden behemoth.
The band wear their influences proudly on their sleeves, citing the likes of Neil Young, The Band, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Flying Burrito Brothers.
It all adds up to an exciting mix, the crowning glory being Reid's extraordinary, razor blade gargling vocals, washed down with a crushed glass chaser.”

“Boasting a stage busting eight members, hailing from Coventry, Warwick, Leamington, Bedworth and Birmingham, the Dirty band eschew the more traditional indie-rock stylings of local bands for music with a more Americana/country tinged, rockin' swing to it.
You can hear hints of blue-grass, hints of cajun, bits of British folk and echoes of a feel-good Doors and a more organic version of The Coral.
Whatever you hear in their sound, it's music that slaps a smile straight on the most curmudgeonly of faces within minutes of them taking to the stage.
Led by the uber-talented and charismatic Wes Finch, the band comprises G Vaughan on drums and vocals, Joe Carvell on bass, Andy Whitehead on guitar, Libby Fielding singing and dancing, Lucy Sale on vocals, flute and djembe and Matt Lakey on banjo.”
