20 bands have been shortlisted for the 2008 G Factor competition.
The heats will be taking place over the weekends of 26 & 27 April and 3 & 4 May.
Shortlisted applicants have been invited to audition in front of a panel of music experts and will take part in a public vote.
Two sucessful bands from each heat will then go through to a city wide vote held in conjunction with BBC Coventry and Warwickshire to decide the public’s choice to perform on the main stage on the Saturday.

* There is free entry to all the heats
Each heat will consist of five bands, each playing a 20 minute set.
The times of the acts are as follows:
1.30pm - Band One
2.05pm - Band Two
2.40pm - Band Three
3.15pm - Band Four
3.55pm - Band Five
* The order of the bands will be decided on the day.
To vote for your favourite band you must listen to all five bands. Tickets will be given out at the door which will be exchanged for a voting form at the end.
Public voting begins at 4.15pm and will end at 4.45pm.
Winners will be announced at 5.15pm.
