5.00pm - Buffalo Soul Jah

Photo: Buffalo Soul JahEuropes No 1 Bob Marley Tribute band - The ultimate reggae experience in a tribute to the great Bob Marley.

Pure good vibes with this bunch of guys from Birmingham who are still going strong after 15 years fronted by Moses who bears an uncanny resemblence to Bob.

They have taken the one love vibe all over the world from Dublin to Dubai.

We all know and love Bob Marleys lyrics and this band get the crowd feeling irie without a doubt. The strong message behind his music is still relevant today and Buffalo Soul Jah keep that message of peace love and unity alive.  They cover all the favourites such as 'No woman no Cry', 'I shot the sheriff' and 'One Love' and some the more obscure tracks like 'Coming in from the Cold' , 'Small Axe' and 'Concrete Jungle'.

They have played with artists such as Third World, Aswad, Freddie Mcgregor, Toots and the Maytals and Pato Banton. Be sure to check out Buffalo Soul Jah for a great bit of nostalgia and a boogie to the greatest reggae of the 1970's.

“...Buffalo Soul Jah had us all singing and dancing to the tunes from the King of Reggae Bob Marley.  Wonderful night of fantastic music and real atmosphere from BSJ.  Not to be missed these boys really Rocked the Reggae House!...”

7.00pm - MankalaPhoto: Mankala

Mankala is an original band that plays rhythmic and energetic music, which can be defined as an Afro-Caribbean fusion.

Driving tempos with plenty of percussion, simple but tasteful guitar sounds, grooving bass lines and smooth vocal harmonies all come together to create a unique and uplifting sound, with elements of Zouk (meaning party in Creole) Reggae and Afro-Beat.

The band brings together musicians from diverse places in the world such as Martinique, Zambia, Tenerife and of course England, where Mankala was first formed early in 2003, in the multicultural city of Bristol, where the band is currently based.

“...When you find yourself screaming for Mankala to come back on stage to work their magic on your tired feet, its a timely reminder that there are essential , soul-preserving rhythms that will always triumph..”
